CABLE ADVISORY COMMITTEE
MINUTES

HCTV Studio                                                                                               April 11, 2011
800 Main Street                                                                                         7:00 P.M.

MEMBERS PRESENT:        Hank Ouellette, Patt Popple, Larry Popple, Duffy Tilson, Ginny Ursin
ALSO PRESENT:   Johnny Suire, Public Access Director

  • Minutes of Meeting of December 2, 2010 were reviewed and accepted.
  • Channel 13 Over-ride Problem:  Johnny met with Dennis Griffin from Charter and the over-ride problem has been resolved by synching modulators.  The WRHD Committee meetings can now be cable-cast live again.
  • New Business:
  • The community room and the apparatus bay at the new Public Safety B  uilding have now been wired to the I-Net so cable-casts can originate from those locations.
  • Five subscriber outlets have been wired in the Starbard Building.  One is in the Town Manager’s Office and a TV receiver will be purchased for that location.
  • Satellite Dish:  A motor has burned out and Johnny is working on replacing it.
  • Interns:  Johnny has 2 new interns:  Dave Latina from Sterling, a student at Fitchburg State University and Adrianna Shays, a senior at Leister High School.

  • Studio Control Room/Editing Area has been reconfigured.  Thank you to the Holden Department of Public Works.
  • FY12 Cable Budget:  The budget was reviewed by the Holden Finance Committee and will be presented at the Annual Town Meeting in May.
